Speed test gives me 454k download speed. Frontier quotes speeds as high as 150Mbps. Do I need new cable drop from pole to house. They used what was there, very old wire.
You should be able to see what speed your modem has synced to using it's stats web page, it also gives some info on signal levels. I'd start there to see what your connection is syncing at with your ISP, what the SNR margin is, how often does it drop the connection/resync per day.
