I need help with my internet after I used TCP Optimizer. [URGENT]

Post by Saad Ali »

So I watched a video on youtube on how to decrease your ping and I came across this.
I did what it told me to but after that my ping fluctuates like crazy! :irate:
I had a steady 45-55 ms but now I get 47 ms and it randomly goes up to 900 then to 120 then to 500 then back at 50. :wth:  :(
This happen after I used the optimal settings and I can't play like this.
I need help urgently! Please, Also I have read a few reports about this; and they say they're tracert or TCP Analyzer report. I don't know how to do that. If that is required how do I do that? Thanks

You can always reset your TCP/IP stack and Winsock to the Windows default if you prefer those settings you had:

You can just choose the "Windows Defaults" radio button in the Optimizer, and click apply.

Alternatively, to completely reset the connection to the Windows default... In the TCP Optimizer, use the "File" menu, and click on both "Reset TCP/IP" and "Reset Winsock". After rebooting, your connection will be completely reset to the Windows default without traces of any customization.

Keep in mind that those pings fluctuate by default depending on your ISP, the current time/route/congestion on the line, etc.

Some of the settings may not show as "default" when you open the program, as the program does not read them all at start time (some are NIC specific, etc.). However, the program applies all the settings as specified by the user.

I also provided you a second option that will ensure you reset all settings from any tweaking, not only the TCP Optimizer.

The man speaks the truth.
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Open the TCP Optimizer program... open the "File" menu. Click on the links "Reset TCP/IP" and "Reset Winsock"
