I HAVE to watch the Mayweather Paquiao fight

Post by Leatherneck »

What a bummer. I am an engineer for Comcast and have to staff myself for the major PPV event. Sucks I get paid $500 to watch the boring fight. Poor me...

Must have sucked, boxing in general has gotten pretty bad, Mayweather is pretty much the epitome of all thats wrong with boxing.

Boxing is over as a major unless someone like Tyson comes a long which isn't likely. Heavyweight phenoms seem long gone. The fight was dreadfully boring. Nether fighter even stumbled in the least and there was nothing a hundred miles from being a knockout. Combined purse was about $138000 a second.

Pacquiao will have shoulder surgery

It appears he had an injured rotator cuff and he fought thru it. He was denied a cortisone shot (I think) prior to the fight and therefore was unable to use his arm accordingly. He seems like an honest guy so i don't doubt him but for a purse that big i would have had it postponed for another year?

Sad if true as everyone was denied a true performance.

Mayweather evaded many of Pacquiao's punches by running and hugging. Yes it's part of the game and his strategy but at the same time he didn't dominate Manny offensively. He didn't even threaten or manage to hurt Pacman if not for Manny pushing and pressing, there would be no action at all.
