The origin of ACDC's Thunderstruck

Post by Humboldt »

Who'd have thunk it was just a cover?

These guys were playing it in Vienna hundreds of years ago: http://www.wimp.com/thunderstruckcellos/

I love that song. Not feeling the cello version though. Thunderstruck should sound like.. you're being thunderstruck :)

I hear you.
Just think it's pretty original, sometimes a different version is good but makes you appreciate the original that much more.

Like IronHorse. BlueGrass band that does amazing covers of Metallica and Guns N Roses.

I like the originals better but am amazed by how these work as blue grass.

Especially Sweet Child and Paradise, awesome blue :thumb:

Interesting, and talented players.

What I love about IronHorse is that they don't just play the song with twangs, they remake the song into something that sounds like it was written for bluegrass.

Still amazed at what they did w/ Sweet Child.

"Ain't Talking Bout Love" Van Halen :rotfl: :rotfl:

Very talented but sounds like something from an SNL skit.

I'm definitely not a fan of these Iron Horse guys based on their covers. Do they have some of their own music?
