linksys router

hey, i have a linksys router and in the manual it says that if you make a halflife server, users will get disconnected with some weird message, but it doesn't say how to correct that if there is a way.

also, i have an ftp/http server running (for development purposes just incase @home is reading this) and i have forwarding on, but i can't access them via my real ip 24.115.145.*** locally on the network, i can only use the network ips (192.168.0.***), is there any way to fix that?

as far as your for development purposes, it's all good. i'm assuming you are running a static ip on this machine? if not, do so. then forward the ports 80 and 21 to that machine. just make sure you have pws or iis running while forwarded, otherwise users might get your linksys router screen [btw, change your pw, if you do this].
