Years ago one of the local radio stations had a little promo/blurb/soundbite of some young girl calling up and asking that they play Missing Persons "Walking in a Lake". I used to crack up each time I heard it. For those of you not familiar, the name of the song is "Walking in L.A."

Hi Easto & morbidpete

Pleased you got a chuckle out of it as well. I've never been good with lyrics & get them wrong all the time. Easy enough to do with the garbled voices of most of todays singers.

Keep Smilin :D

The #1 most miss quoted lyrics have to go to Manford Mann's Earth Band and the hit song blinded by the light.

One of my favorites is to listen to someone sing along to Springstein's Blinded by the Light:
"Cut loose like a DOOSH, another runner in the night"
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

This is one of those things that I love about the internet. I can think of a handful of songs that I remember from way back and was always wondering... what the heck were they saying. Knowing good and well what I thought they were saying couldn't be right. Do an internet lyric search... and years of misunderstanding come to light.
