mouse acting up while browsing.cannot close programs without task manager.cannot download.
any advice on hijack this log??

Try a scan with TDSSKiller from Kaspersky?
can you get malwarebytes installed, updated, and run a scan?

Hijack this isn't too useful these days with rootkits (which are the common ones)

If you run a whole bunch of anti-malware programs on it (including some rootkit scanners)...and they come up clean,
and it still acts up with hangs like that, next I would look at the hard drive. Is it getting full? If not...check the health of it, I would suspect it is beginning to fail, and I'd pickup a newer larger faster replacement and clone it over to it.

it's still hanging up and not able to down load.any browser i open,fire fox,chrome, ie as well as thunderbird hangs up.hard drive is is only about 80% unused.

I would download the diagnostic tool(s) from the HDD manufacturer and try to run a diagnostic test on the drive.
