antivirus system

Hi! I need to write antivirus system (with using of heuristic analysis)for. It will be used in a particular field (can not talk about it yet).

The main part is simple: antivirus provides access to virtual files for running application (maybe virus), which works with these files as if they are real. After this antivirus notify what running application attempted to do. I have SDK for emulation of a file system and registry. But antivirus may be more effective and flexible if there are additional tools for recognition of viruses. Who have an idea?

Yes there are antivirus programs designed for *nix.

This sounds like a homework assignment for class......time to review what you learned from the teacher, and what's in your textbooks.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to add a specific function in my antivirus. Is there any idea how to improve the anti-virus, what features to add?

You do realize we have a rule here about "no multiple user accounts for the same person".
What is your agenda here?

Of course you should be capable of realizing that a single person trying to create an effective antivirus program is an insanely monumental task? Normally antivirus companies have a very large staff of research people...a huge team.

But I'm curious to see what angle you guys have for spam?
