If you don't have an iron stomach or are used to the local bacteria you risk finishing your favorite book on the can! I remember eating off carts in El Salvador & Honduras. I think the only reason I didn't explode was the sugar cane liquor.

Some of those vendors serve excellent food. Just have to find the right ones.

The only rule I follow when eating at any ethnic eatery is to only eat at the ones with people of the same ethnicity eating there and not some hipsters. They are everywhere in Cali.
