You can’t say you haven’t been warned...

I read this earlier. If you are stupid enough to get this then you deserve it (quit looking at questionable sites and downloading the same material as such).

And if you haven't noticed that your computer has been infected by VERY OBVIOUS MALWARE BY NOW...you're an idiot. I can't believe this overhyped stuff is still being spread. DNS hijackers aren't new...they've been going on for years and years now, yet this particular one, with less infections than many of the others, has been over-hyped to stellar heights by typical over hyping media.

Ooooh....no....over 300,000 computers spread world wide! Hit the panic button people!
With the majority of those infected computers in Asia.
Less than 50,000 infected computers in the US, and just a couple of thousand in Canada.

Quick..run around in a panic!!! And make posts that promote panic for the idiots like "FBI will kill the internet!".

Hardly! News flash..the FBI isn't going to kill the internet on Monday. Really? REALLY?!?!?!

We have over 300 active business clients that we take care of...and many more occasional "call as needed" clients....I guarantee a truck full of Guinness I am not getting one of these "I have no internet" calls on Monday.

Who are you addressing exactly? The individuals on this site who know this is BS or the ones that come for help whom you are alienating?

If the FBI shut down the US servers, I think most of the world would go down. We have a ton of compinies here that all they do is host web pages.

They are only shutting down the surrogate DNS servers that they put in place aliased to the IP addresses of the "bad" DNS servers that they shut off when they found them. With over 300 million PCs in the US...and less than 50k estimated infections...thus shutdown wont amount to a mouses fart. More than 50k hard drives crash every day....media doesn't spread that hype.

Come to think about it, if it's on the Internet it has to be true. It's in the rules.

I'd just send everyone to http://www.dns-ok.ca/ to be on the safe side even though I'm certain this wont effect anyone i know.

Edit: http://www.dns-ok.us/ works too
