B-1 Bomber

Post by Indy »

A pair of B-1 bombers buzzed my house yesterday afternoon, flying over probably at about a thousand feet directly overhead. It was immensely cool. Of course, I had camera in hand and was snapping shots as they flew over :)

It's too bad they weren't flying in formation when they flew over...that would have made for some cool shots :) They were situated about two minutes apart.

What was really cool is that we live about 15 miles from the airport as the crow flies. I could watch the jets fly all the way in, and hear the engines kick in when they took off after landing.

I used my 70-300, but for a couple of the shots I don't think I went any more than about 120mm or so, given how close the jet was :)
