DirectX problem, help needed

Does anyone have any idea about how to Reinstall DirectX to an earlier version???

This is the reason, I play Redmoon, and after their latest patch, the game started working much better, I was using DirectX version 6.2, then I downloaded DirectX 8.0 and reinstalled it, now the game is even slower than it was before the patch

When I try to reinstall back to 6.2 or even 7.0, it says Installation was not neccesary (cant spell) because a newer version of DirectX was found.

Please help me uninstall this version, I've never faced this problem before.

First off, make sure you have the latest drivers for your video and sound card...and if you do reinstall them anyways...sometimes after you install a newer version of Directx, you need to reinstall u'r drivers.
