It's official: the Star Wars saga is going 3D.
Things will kick off with everybody's favorite chapter in the Star Wars saga, The Phantom Menace, which will be ready to hit theaters in at some point in 2012, with the other five films debuting in subsequent years. According to reports, converting each film to 3D will take approximately a year, with George Lucas overseeing the process himself......

That’s the way Lucas milks the Star Wars fans. Slowly release the Star Wars saga in every different available format. I’m sure he’ll release it when the Star Wars sales drop below a certain point.Sava700 wrote:Saw this the other day but think its stupid the way he's rolling them out... it will be till 2020 before you get them all plus we still don't have them all released on Blu-Ray yet?!?!![]()

Well I understand that thought, however Lucas said Blu-Ray was coming very soon if not by now... but instead he's jumping on the 3D bandwagon that is sure to fail. I admit I was slightly interested in catching a football game in 3D once or at least try it cause I get car sick in the passenger side seat now let alone sit and watching something like a pod race in 3D, i'd have to take motion sickness pills just to watch TV!RoundEye wrote:That’s the way Lucas milks the Star Wars fans. They are fine, you have to be a long time fan to admire how they worked into a "dark" side or into parts 4 5 and 6. You may as well stop wasting your time anyway, there won't be no reboots or remakes of them.

Yeah, sorry to say but it is wasting just a bit of time even considering it a idea.... I mean really, besides a few bad decisions the films are very very good. No true Star Wars fan would want to see a reboot ever made - not like it will ever happen anyway much like Yard already said, it would be just horrible!
Sounds about right since all George has done recently can be succinctly summarized in this South Park short.
