I have never seen this before. This is weird.

The motherboard supports a 2 pin connector for the power led. The connector that comes with the case has 3 pins. What do I do!? I thought 2 pin connectors were standard for power leds?

the connector for the case has only 2 wires though right ?

mine was like that and i just moved 1 pin next to the other pin on the connector and cut the excess plug off with a dremel
