CounterStrike: Source Horrid Latency.

Okay well i'm a big gamer, and lately CS:S hasn't been acting normal, the latencies on servers have jumped from 90-150 to 1400-1998.. I've tried practically everything.. I play many games (Uniball, Heroes of Newerth, League of Legends, and even CounterStrike 1.6) yet CounterStrike: Source is the only game that is exaggerating on the latency.. This didn't start happening until 2 days ago.. I have scanned my computer and used CCleaner and nothing has been found.. Also i would like to add that yes, i have wireless internet, but i have had wireless internet for 4 years now playing CS:S and never had this problem. This is new to me so if anyone has ever had this problem could you please help?!!?

If you are using wireless and have been for 4 years before with no problems, then I would concentrate on troubleshooting from that point. Have you added any new wireless products to the household? (phones, video players or anything that might use the 2.4ghz band). Also, It might be a neighbor that has something that could be interfering with the connection. If indeed it is interference you might try going into the routers setup and changing the channel it uses to broadcast.

Any way to temporarily connect the computer via a network cable and see if the problem still exists?

blehh before reading this i tried resetting my router and playing so i went to reset my router, came back and sitdown and i got in a game fine... it's just that game crashed later on and so i closed out css and then opened it backup then there goes my pings wayy backup. also i'd like to add, if i click on a player then view game info, my latency shows like it normally would (80-100) but when i go to serverlist and look at the game it shows up as like 900 and if i enter the game it would go up to like 900
