Good program to fix Hard disk Bad sectors?
Good program to fix Hard disk Bad sectors?
I have a problem about my hard disk. I tried formatting my HDD using a full format but it seems to take way too long. It already took 10 hours! but it is still on 87% formatting percentage! WTH! seems to be there's a lot of problem on my HDD. So I'm here asking for any advice on which program should I use to fix bad sectors on my HDD because CHDSK/r fails. It also took a long time just to fix my HDD problem. 7 Hours on 37% 5/5.

I just use chkdsk to try to heal errors...and then when it's done I clone the image to a new drive. When a drive starts having problems....it's all downhill from there.
Sometimes the drive is damaged enough to where chkdsk cannot complete, and often ghost or true image or another cloning program of your choice can still copy the data to a new drive...and then you can run chkdsk and defrag to sort it out after.
Yes when a drive has issue chkdsk can take a huge amount of time.....I've seen it take over a day to complete.
