Letterman's deal
Letterman's deal
IMO, good for him. man up and wear the "who you are" badge with honor. does not change the way ithink of him in any way.
you think you got something on me? fine, you can take that and shove it up your ass, mr. makeabuck. i will walk the line with a smile on my face.

So no, I don't think it's time for smiles but rather humility and forgiveness.
i agree with you on that. the smiles were only meant towards the extortionist having his power removed. blackmail as a crime gets under my skin more than most.
unfortunately, in this case there innocents involved. for them i feel sad.

and I agree with you fully. What Dave does in his personal private world should stay there. I just feel bad that his kid will one day be faced with the question: Why did my Dad mess around and why didn't he have enough respect for my Mom?Faust wrote:i agree with you on that. the smiles were only meant towards the extortionist having his power removed. blackmail as a crime gets under my skin more than most.

I think Dave did the right thing in confronting this issue head on and announcing it, and even participating in the sting that busted this guy.
Not to defend infidelity and what it does to a family/marriage...but this is show business, high end entertainment, late night/after hours entertainment jobs. This kind of atmosphere ...it's rampant.

One of the women, the "fling" ended before 2003. Dave and his wife (they just got married this past winter) hadn't even had their son yet, who is 5 or so years old right now.YARDofSTUF wrote:Was he married when he slept with them?
The woman Dave just married this past winter, was also an employee of the show years ago, he met her in the same manner.

yeah thats what I was thinking too... in this case he didn't cheat..and someone is just trying to blackmail him to keep it quiet but big deal and he knows this.YeOldeStonecat wrote:One of the women, the "fling" ended before 2003. Maybe what we are unaware of is that Letterman is a sexual freak. Maybe he did things to the woman that would make pig squeal. And if he asked the woman he loved maybe part of the answer would be “you wanna do what, are you insane!?!?”. So he found a woman that would do it, no questions asked.
