tonight's Top Gear...

Post by mountainman »

I just watched tonight's episode of Top Gear from the UK and Jay Leno was the guest. Very good episode and last one of this series. Jay had some great stories, including one about some LA gangsters he took for a ride in his McLaren F1.

Great watch.

Well, it's the one that is broadcast in the UK. The ones on BBC America are several years old.

You can grab the full episode online, of course. I noticed they REALLY chopped that whole segment up. It's really a lot longer.

Yes, I get them all too since we don't get them here.

I have seasons 3 - 13 on my PC. They're good.

That's it till November.

It was kind of a depressing ending, like they know something we don't.

Top Gear in USA = 3 year old episodes with the American knocks edited out.

Lame.

But they chop them up. I hate that.

(Granted, I'm going off what I saw several years ago before I realized I could have the UK version four hours after it airs there.)

Season 12 on video on demand had it unedited, or well, maybe a little, but it was around the right length and had american jokes and stuff in it that they do.

Maybe what they air on the BBC America channel is different so that it fits in the 1 hour time slot.

Yes, they clip stuff to put in commercials since the BBC UK version has none.
