Cant ping pc

Cant ping pc

Ok I've got two pc's, One vista machine and one XP home machine.

I've set up a workgroup and put both machines onto it, and I've made shared folders on the Xp machine.

The icons for the shared folder does appear on the Vista machine but it cant open it. I cant even seem to ping either machine. I've disabled the firewall and I've checked TCP/IP settings and after searching google for about 3 hours I'm at my wits end with it!!!

Help me!!! :confused:

Ok nevermind problem fixed!! Norton had the vista machine as high risk, changed that and could then ping

winxp can ping vista and can ping itself!
Vista can ping WinXP but cannot ping itself?

Why cant the vista pc ping it self? :irate:
