Folding?

Post by BaLa »

Wow, can't believe this is still around :D

Well I just installed it on my laptop.Since I will also be back at home now :rotfl:

Not sure about the Internet...but this wireless seems pretty stable. (not mine)
I even have the wireless on my laptop, bridged the connections to my LAN and ran it through the router (dekstop doesn't have wireless).
I bought a Wireless USB Adapter for my Desktop but I think it didn't like Vista.

will install in a bit on Desktop

Anyways...
Laptop Specs. AMD Athlon X2 2.0GHz 3gb RAM
Desktop Athlon 1..6GHz 2gb RAM

I haven't decided, if I should sign back up using the Fat Dogs name or my old name..

installed it on the Desktop..
what's the 'proper' way to change the name on a Console Client?
I changed the name in the CFG File, will that work?

Welcome back, have you been away long?

Work units have changed a lot over the past year or two, worth a lot more points now and take a bit longer. Don't think theres any of them worth less than a hundred points anymore, all up into the 200-300 range, and some even up in the 1600-1700 range.

If you have some of the newer ATI or Nvidia graphics cards you should check out folding with their gpu's.

To change the name of who your folding with or for, you can do it in the client file located still in the folding directory of your pc. Just load it into notebook and change the name, save it and then restart folding. Or you can delete the client file and refill out the information when you restart folding, won't effect the current work unit at all, I don't believe. Although it might not accept it when it's finished and the names don't match who it was sent out to, not sure about that. To make sure it might not be a bad idea to start a new work unit when you do it just to be sure.

Anyway welcome back and fold on.
