Sorry man, I've lost 3 friends over the last year and was just informed yesterday of another with a nasty spot on his lung. Lost my mom to it too.

Sorry to hear the bad news Dan.
I'd say call your dad up and arrange some sort of road trip. Just you and your pops for a couple of weeks. Strip clubs, girls, pool tables and booze. Have a blast while doing it!

Don't spend the next 3 months on SG wallowing in your sorrow....spend it with your Dad and make the most of it.

Three months is difficult at best..but you are blessed to have learned you do at least have somewhat of a time frame there to enjoy him. Maybe time for a complete family re-union with him if he is feeling up to it? Visits and calls I am sure would be of comfort to him as well from you.
It's a difficult sad time for you and the family Dan. I am so sorry

it's funny how life goes sometimes,
you think you know, but things are not always the way you think they should be.
I know that sounds random and strange,

MissTynker is right, sometimes words are never enough. I wish there was something I could say or do that would make you feel better.

Always sucks to lose someone close, we just buried my grandmother yesterday. My dad seems to be taking it pretty well, when its somewhat expected it helps prepare you a little at least.
