Upgrade from Celeron on Abit Bx6 r2

Ive got a 400mhz celeron overclocked to 450mhz. so far it runs everything ive touched. with all the new processors coming out,What would be my Best upgrade choice? Using the same motherboard that is...I'm not sure what bus speeds this motherboard supports..The rest of the system is Cool so far...Asus Tnt2pro soundblaster live...8 gig hard drive 128megs ram....
I appreciate any and all Comments and suggestions.

P.S.
Will a PIII make it that much faster?

It depends a lot on what you use your computer for. If you like to play CPU intensive games like Quake3 then yes a PIII will be extremely faster. Especially compared to a celeron. B/c of the P3s 256k full speed, on-die L2 cache, it would take a Celeron clocked at 750 to equal a P3-600e in Quake3 frame rates.

but for normal windows use and web surfing it probably won't be that noticable... I just upgraded from a P2-233@300 to a P3-600e@720 and in windows I don't even notice anything much faster, but quake3 is amazing now...

Ive been playing alot of games...I used to do Mech3...Lag City...Sheeeez...then I played MS Combat SIM..that was better...Im playing Half life now because a bunch of the guys I work with play twice a week now...Its a hoot to Bash your Boss with a Crow Bar!!...
Gonna Ck with my local builder/supplier to see what I can pick up a P3 for ...Got any known good sources?
