Using FAH as therapy for Cancer Survivors

Post by rickoic »

I wonder if anyone has thought to suggest Folding @ Home as a method of therapy for cancer survivors they know?

I was talking to my wife the other day on a trip that we were taking, and talking mainly to keep us awake and alert. The subject came up and I figured out that using it as therapy had done me a lot of good.

I had massive prostrate surgery 2 1/2 years ago, I had been folding prior to that, but it was folding and trying to further the science of cancer research that brought me out of my funk after the surgery.

Now theres a drug being tested that they hope they can use to target not just prostrate cancer, but other cancers also. And someway I feel that I may have had a small part it its production.

This might be a way to inlist new members. I know it used to be that maybe 1 in 10 knew of someone personally that had cancer. Now its more like 1 in 10 that doesn't know someone.

Just a thought,

Tks
