SonicWall SonicPro 2040 - Need Help

Hello.

I am seeking advice from experts out there.

I have a SonicWall SonicPro 2040 that I have factory defaulted by booting in Safe Mode. Now that I try to log in, it allows me to ping the Management Interface - 192.168.168.168, however it seems that it "hangs" when I'm trying to log in using the default username/password (admin/password).

I have rebooted this in Safe Mode several times today. Can anyone offer insight as to which firmware is the most current firmware for the Sonic Pro 2040. Also, do I have to be using that firmware to get into the box?

Any assistance, advice, or suggestions is GREATLY appreciated!

Hi,
First u try ping that managemnet ip and after loginto firewall.

Latest firmware is 4.XXX series

Do you mean that you did a soft reset or a hard factory reset?
