Florida Auto Insurace scam

Post by jasonb31 »

No Fault Auto law is the most ridiculous crap I have ever came across. If you are sitting at a stop sign and someone out of the blue comes along and slams into you guess who pays if you are hurt? YOU!!! Yes thats right you or your auto insurance pays for it not the ignorant ass that hit you. Know body has ever told me that before. So if you live in a No Fault state make sure you have tons of PIP and med pay insurance. States ought to be sued over this. Why the don't get rid of the health part of Auto insurance is ridiculous. Your health insurance should have to cover you any time your hurt. They will eventually have to but the fight and the paper work is stupid. Call your state legislators to try to get this fixed.

The accident is not my fault so why should I have to pay at all? I have to deal and pay for the crap that is someone else fault and thats BS.

1. You were there, therefore you are responsible for your own scene.
2. You must have own insurance to legally drive.
3. Your rates won't go up when an accident is deemed not your fault.

No Fault insurance does NOT remove any parties involved from liability or fault. Legal recourse is still available, usually sought by insurance companies themselves.
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

The law says my insurance pays 80 percent while hers pays 20 percent and they are at total fault, Now what part of that seems right to anyone? Its one ass backward law if you ask me. Her insurance should pay for all of it. They have to pay for all the damages to the vehicle so why not something more important like my back? I have an attorney but this law is stupid.

You have to understand No Fault. You insurance is only going to pay up to a certain amount and that is for work loss, or medical. Definitely, your agent should have explained the way it works. In FL, if an accident occurs and there are medical expenses, your own company is on the hook up to $10,000. Same goes for work loss. Same amount. This threshold exists because think of all the accidents that occur when the medical or work loss cost is below $10,000. So in order to keep the courts clear of petty lawsuits, No Fault was put into place. Once that threshold is broken, if the at fault party has insurance then they begin to pay from their own policy. If there was damage in the accident the at fault party pays, and there is no threshold in place for that. This is the simple answer. How do I know this? Well, I am an insurance agent.

It just makes no sense to have medical on the auto policies because if a person is really hurt like me their is no way an auto policy is going to cover the whole thing and the health insurance has to take over anyway. What are we supposed to do have five hundred dollar a month auto and three to four hundred in medical premiums every month? That is not going to fly if you get my drift. They are way better off making everyone get medical insurance and dropping the prices of auto insurance that way everyone is covered for medical for any reason and people who want to drive then wouldn't dare do it without having medical insurance.
My medical insurance just had to take over so I could see my neurologist after 30 days of therapy about my back today and well we are going to wait till July to see if it heals up or if I need my titanium back re-adjusted and tightened down better :rotfl:
Yes I'm not all human!! Doc says the nerves down there my be bruised so I'm going to get a round of steroid shots and stay on the pain meds till it gets better or I get an operation. So I will be this for awhile :wth: till I'm either this :D or this :irate: .
