my cd burner tray came out and i just wanted to know if i called compaq would they come and fix it for free are would i have to pay and if i would have to pay how much would it cost
i will no longer be holding back my power so i advise u to run

Well it depends. Did you have a warranty on your system??? If not then yes you would probrably have to pay. I am not sure how much. If you did have a warranty depending on what was in it than they might fix it for free. Good luck!!!

They have three different kinds of warranty's. A one year, two year and three year. So if your computer is more than three years old than you will probrably have to pay.

Also if u broke the seal in the back of ur comp, the warranty is void
.....

I remember going into my compaq's case and they didnt void the warranty. I heard the same thing about dell fore i got a dell desktop, but they dont care about the seal and even told me to go ahead and crack it open and go into my machine.

but on second thought you had better check. i dont wanna be responsible for you voiding your ( much needed on compaqs ) warranty.
