hi there i also am running PLDT myDSL connection of 1MB/256kb... w/ trogers' help i was able to tweak my speed at a satisfactory speed.

if you want to obtain the most of ur connection i do advice you to download the essentials of detecting malwares and spywares that lessens ur connectivity.
here are the programs u will nid:
Ad Aware 2007
Spybot Search and Destroy
A-squared free
also get CCleaner to fix ur registry to check for errors and if you want doublecheck w/ RegCure. (make sure ur System Restore is OFF)
and Lastly get a good firewall like COMODO, i was able to detect what programs were eating my PC's memory and believe me ive seen svchost.exe (essential component to Microsoft XP...) take over percentage usage more than what my browser was using and was causing me to lag bringing my connection speed to 24.4 kbps (2wire.com) or 47/68 @ speedtest.net//
...suggestion to Microsoft's pesky bug, you to DISABLE ur Windows Automatic Update option in ur SystemTools>Security Center....
and with these plus troger's TCP/IP Opt settings ul be tweaked in no time.

hello there! well, i joined here for one reason only, i would like to ask for your help and advises since it seems you were able to help some who sought for your help. below are the details of my speedguide.net results of tcp analyzer i just run a while ago. my subscription speed is 512kbps but i am only receiving at worst is 15kbps and at best of 134 kps but that was a week ago already. I am subscribed with PLDT MyDSL here in the Philippines for two months already and for more than 2 weeks already i am complaining to the support group but it seems they can'tdo anything about it. my friend told me to try to tweak it so while surfing the net, i ended up here. thanks already in advance and hope you could reply soon!!!

Vista cannot be tweaked. It has an auto-tuning function. Your TCP Analyzer report shows that this auto-tuning function has been disabled.alias_POGI wrote:Also, i already tried your tcp optimizer and run it but was denied the access during changes in setting. iam using windows vista basic and i am logged as administrator but i can't initiate it to run in my system, what seems to be the problem?
Go to start-run and paste this " netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal " and hit enter.

When Vista's auto-tuning function is turned on, it will automatically select a TCP Window suitable for your connection line.TCP options string: 020405b401010402
MSS: 1460
MTU: 1500
TCP Window: 64240 (multiple of MSS) = 65536
RWIN Scaling: 0
Unscaled RWIN : 64240 = 256 or up to a few thousands
By doing the TCP Analyzer report, TCP Window and Unscaled RWIN shown in red will mean that this auto-tuning is turned off. If it is working, your values will be those in blue colour.

Hi guys
I need help too, I also have pldt DSL. I have no problem with my downstream or download based on the speedtest I did my download speed is 2500 kbps but my upload is only 40 kbps. This was not the case before I had an upgrade my upstream was reaching up to 200kbps even faster than my downstream w/c was only 100 kbps.
I hope someone can help
I have xp as my os

I think your router is limiting your MTU. Log into it and set MTU or MRU to 1500 and MSS to 1460, if any. Save and reboot the router.alanz wrote:hi this are the new results the mtu keeps coming back at 1440

Low upload speed. Downlad speed is okay at 2.25 mbps. Could be that you need a new firmware for your modem/router. Log into your Zykel and check its firmware version number and compare with what a Google search brings up.alanz wrote:here is the result of the NDT Test

Probably not, as a wrong config would cause download to fall as well.alanz wrote:it seems that I have the latest firmware. Do you think this has something with my modem config?
