my Saturday... you?

Post by mountainman »

Here is how I spent my morning and afternoon today:

flying over Lake Erie towards Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland

holding Kaden in front of science museum

Kaden eating an apple outside the Rock & Roll HoF

wife and I walking back to the airplane

Now I'm working on finishing our new 24' x 18' deck. (Pics later tonight.)

What did you do today?

Went over the property with a fine tooth comb looking for spurge.

Movies later. I need to test some new equalization settings for the sub.

Compared to other weekends, I did nada. I do have a pass to see any museum or cultural institution in NYC for free courtesy of my job. Maybe I'll go tomorrow and spend the Day in Manhattan.

Watched Transformers. Glared at some goth kids. Groomed my dog. Pretty laid back day. I am a lazy SOB.

Got Up Early
Went to bank and made a money transfer
Filled up the car with gas
Went and got a hair cut
Came Home had lunch and surfed the web a bit
Went to the manual car wash to clean car completely in and out, hot sun, felt good
Came Home and had a snack
Proceeded to start cleaning apartment, cleaned bathroom, then kitchen, then floors, dusted
Started laundry
Poured a cold glass of Gatorade and opened up this thread and posted in it :D

After this I will proceed to go find some dinner, I'm thinking Chinese tonight
Then around 9:30 PM I will greet my dad and sister who are coming into town today
Then I will come home and go to bed

Tomorrow (Sunday)
I will get up early in the morning
I will head out to pick my dad and sister up, and meet up with my other sister and her family
We will all go to an early breakfast
Then we will go to church at 9 AM
After church we will head over to my sisters house to get changed and pack for the day's main event
We will then leave from there to go the lake where we will have lunch and rent jet skis for some fun on the water all day tomorrow
Then we will go out for dinner
Then we will be very very tired and all fall asleep

Monday:

I will head out early in the morning, re 6 AM, to go deliver a load with my dad locally (he's a trucker), something I've never experienced before so it'll be fun
Then him and my other sister will head on out back home (He's based in Georgia, my sister lives in NC)
Then I will get to work and put my nose to the grind stone so I can take all of the next week off for Jason's visit, and Quakecon :D

I relaxed most of the day while doing a little cleaning and some laundry.

Tonight the lady and I are going to the strip club with a couple friends of ours.

Strip clubs are fun for about 10 mins for me. I walk in and I'm like "WHOA TITS" then realize that they are no touchy and I wanna leave. Beer is spendy in em too.

Saturday...first day of bringing over lots of stuff as we move into the farmhouse over to where I'm moving. Had 3x people look at my current house which just went on the market last Saturday.

Very excited about moving into the new place with girlfriend and her 2x kids. Farmhouse we're renting is huge, 3x stories high, huuuuge southern style open kitchen with vaulted ceiling and skylights. Porch up front overlooking the cove that it's neighborhood is on. Big backyard...kids and I played frisbee for a while. Fun! :D

Boat launch 1x block down the street...the Baja 18 will be happy there too!

This place wasn't too bad. Went with my lady and another couple friend of ours. Fully nude, no ugly chicks, and $7 pitchers. The one girl we were with knew a few of the strippers so they would come over and BS with us. It was pretty fun.

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend, more or less. (Sorry, Chevyman.)

I just got back from a 16.1 mile bike ride followed by a 2.5 mile run. Next Sunday I am in a Duathlon that will be 2 mile run, 30K bike then a 5K run. It should be a blast.

(I just wish I'd started training for the bike before now. Today went OK.)
