Can't delete mail from hotmail

This is a strange thing. Today I've tried to delete some junk mail from my hotmail account. But no matter what I do the mail refuses to go.
I select them (two of them to be precise) click to send them to the trash bin. They go. Then I select all the mail in the trash bin, click to empty it. And the two rogue mails appear again into the In box. And what is more, the trash bin refuses to empty.
I ve tried to delete them in a different computer, in case there were some viruses at work, but I got the same results.
Coul it be that Microsoft Hotmail Servers are disfunctional today?
