ISP Gateway problem

Post by legumo »

hi, 2 days ago something strange has been happening...

at 6:00 AM exactly the modem would lose the ISP Gateway and internet connection would die (not losing SYNC) just modem disconnect form the IP i was given.
i reset the modem but even though i did the modem wouldnt discover the ISP gateway and so it doesnt receive an IP to log, 5 to 10 minutes later the gateway is back, IP is given and net is back.

ADSL 1024/256k , the ISP gateway is always the same one 163.121.170.7

i tried a different modem but the same happened.

do you think it is an ISP problem like that gateway having problems? or is it a problem with my dslam, line or something?

Line stats

DS SNR = 31 - UP SNR = 31
ATT = 23 down - 14 Up
Power Output = 9.3 DBm - 14.3DBm

according to ISP i am at 1 KM from the Central Office, never had a problem before either.

Speed and everything else is fine when things are back so i dont uderstand
why would the gateway just stop working exactly @ 6:00 AM for 10 minutes?! :eek:
i checked my modem stats when this happened and the SNR/Attenuation didnt change or anything,
LOS, HEC, FEC, CRC = 0

your expertise would be mostly appreciated.

Thank you.
