hell no... just worthless ladder of support. The one guy that has been trying to fix my issue that has been going on for 2months now is pretty damn smart and a gamer..he seems to be the only smart one of the bunch that has been to my house and he's from out of town sent here just for this issue I'm getting.YARDofSTUF wrote:Major outage somewhere?
I'd say Poor tech support and the desire to build faster download speeds when your never going to see it without someone making faster UPload speeds
like that one article they need to fix what they have going on now for EVERYONE before going to other things.
I'd suggest to this fella that has the TCP issue would be to back up to a restore point or load the saved reg he backed up before using the optimzer which I hope he did. Otherwise its something else cause I've never seen the optimzer do this.. might also try to repair winsock.

And like has been said before thats ridiculous, because EVERY tech person isnt going to be sent out to the areas with problems and the people that create the new stuff arent the people that do the fixing either.Sava700 wrote:like that one article they need to fix what they have going on now for EVERYONE before going to other things.
I also wonder how many people from your old ISP(charter?) are doing the work now as comcast employees.
Comcast tech support speaks english, try dealing with SBC
Lakers, what settings did you change in the TCP Optimizer and what else have you tried? Like sava said you could try a backup, but its doubtful that it caused this.
Major DNS problems over there over the weekend...
Anyone still out?

i tried to backup to a restore point . did not work. and like a idiot i did not backup the registry.i have called comcast and dell and both said i have a valid ip address and i'm getting a ping back and forth but something is blocking my connection.they think tcp has changed my registry . if i reinstall windows will this reset my regisrty?
old ISP was Adelphia and I've never gone through issues like this... it looks like routing issues through comcasts network IMO. I'm going from here to 6miles west of me, to 30miles north of me..then back down to a city 60miles south of me back up to that place 30miles north then over to Richmond VA, and up to DC and out from there... its stupid how they are bouncing this area. But, they will never get that download speeds working for everyone in my lifetime as there is nobody on the other end working on upload lolYARDofSTUF wrote:And like has been said before thats ridiculous, because EVERY tech person isnt going to be sent out to the areas with problems and the people that create the new stuff arent the people that do the fixing either.
