Tour Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands On Line (Video + Stills)

Post by IntrepidBerkEx »

My film "Gringo in the Galapagos" can be seen on the web, if you have a high speed internet connection. The video features Ecuador’s Highlands, the Jungle, and then out to the Galapagos Islands for personal visits with animals of all kinds that are not scared of humans.

It was an unbelievable experience to get so close to sea lions, blue-footed boobys, iguanas, giant tortoises, and all the other Galapagos wildlife.

This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I sell absolutely nothing. My video site is:

The still photo gallery from this trip can be viewed with any modem at:

There are over 30 of my other amateur travel videos on-line covering all seven continents. Visit Italy, England, Antarctica, Bali, China, Russia, Florida, Mayan Pyramids, Greece, American National Parks, or Turkey; see whales, penguins, or polar bears.

The planet is yours, including my Home Page giant galaxy of still pictures at:

Wow, just wow. Did you do all these trips? And then host all the high quality imagery for free? If so, you're rightfully calling yourself explorer, and you have my admiration.

Thanks for sharing, lovely images there.

I think he has been everywhere and done everything. I found THIS doing a Google search on The Intrepid Berkeley Explorer. I would give up vital body organs to go some of the places he has been.
Joan,
First, thanks for all your kind words about "The Inca Lost and Found" on Peru.
To answer your questions, yes I really live in Berkeley and for a very long time. I have photographed every scene in every video, except when I appear on camera. Then I try to dig up a volunteer who will hold the camera while I talk. Failing that, the camera ends up on the ground or in some safe other location where I can let it run as I speak. So nobody took those shots. I also do 100% of the editing.
It's been a fun hobby. I am non-commercial by nature, and would be clueless as to how any of what I've done could ever become a business.
Hope you will enjoy a few of the other 29 Intrepid Berkeley Explorer videos as much as you did the one on Peru.
Dave

Joan,
It would seem that running into you someplace on a trip has steep odds, even if we tried to arrange it.
I'm going to Japan in September, so that's where I will be looking for people to hold the camera. I'm such a language horror that these requests always have to be made in English, regardless of the country.
Guides and people on the same tour are my favorite victims, but I will need good luck in Japan, where I'm on my own. At least I was there 20 years ago and know what I want to do.
