optimized on wireless computer but still weird speeds!

Hello,

I have a dlink dsl g604t and i have iinet adsl2 connection. My download speed is around 1.3M/Bsec max.
However on my wireless computer...my speed starts at around 100KB/sec and falls all the way down to 9KB/sec and rises all the way back to 100KB/sec

I have tried openning windows service packs thingyy and done TCP optimize settings!
I am just wondering
a) how can i fix it from falling to such low speeds
b) how can i achieve maximum speeds

Do a tracert to http://www.yahoo.com and post, one time with wireless connection and one time connected to your DLink by ethernet cable and compare the 2 results.
