Came down here a couple of days after this past Labor Day. Haven't gone through a summer or hurricane season yet so we'll see how it goes. I'm confident that I'll be down here a long time though

I've never pretended to be sane.
besides, it's a hell of a lot cheaper here on the good old mainland. I'm paying the same price now for an apartment as I did 12-13 years ago in hawaii. and this one is 10 times nicer and bigger.

I hear you loud and clear. Even though I don't live near the coast, granted 70 miles ain't all that far, I work only about 20miles from the east coast.
besides I said I like storms, not cataclysmic events. We'll be sure to be safe though and take in any 18-25yr old females from the coast that need shelter
