First day driving after the surgery!!

Yahoo!!

I got permission today to drive again, and walk as much as I please. Those were words straight from heaven! Course, I did'nt tell the Dr. that I drove myself in today. lol! Circumstances just turned that way. I did however, practice jamming pedals in the driveway, weird twisty positions, and anything else that I could think of to see how I would do. No reactions other than pains, but not enough that I had to let up on anything.

I took the back roads, used the cruise controls, and it was just plain wonderful being out and feeling independant again! Woo Hoo! I may have overdone just a bit...typical of me...did a bit of grocery shopping after...visited some of my favorite nurses in the hospital who were on today..picked up a prescription...then could not figure out why I was so tired!! lol!!

Still ordered down six to eight times a day...that is gonna be a toughie yet...but I will do me bestest to comply! I will probably feel this real good tomorrow....never once touched my walker. I am jazzed!!

I will probably be working on and hopefully fixing my all time favorite nurses computer next week. Can't have her stranded now...can we? Nahh!! I love it!! I can't think of a sweeter way to say thank you to her.

By hot rod you mean station wagon with 3 wheels and on fire?

If your such a danger that I need to look out for ya on the roads in CT then someone needs to take away your license!

I did'nt say I was a danger...you just automatically assumed I was.

And the hot rod is my red Turbo Charged Grand Prix. If you put that baby on three wheels...then you NEED your license revoked!

I cant drive yet

but doctor told me I should be active and I shouldnt be taking any naps.
He wants me active ....and to tell you the truth I'm scared to go to bed because of the halucinations they are so real I scared to death few people here on SG. grrrrr
I'm glad I dont need to use any medications, just vitamins and this week is coming big test W0000000000000000000T.
I think we both MADE IT

Jeff...too late my friend I fear!

They gave me the reins, and I certainly did use them. Dr.s office visit, hospital visit, post office, grocery store, pharmacy, coffee meet briefly....I do not think is what he exactly meant! But it felt wonderful! I am very tired today however...taking a kick back day.

Rivas..the power of the mind is a truely awesome tool. I told you employ all the positive you could muster, even when you did not feel like it...and you would make it. I apparantly literally died 8 times through that nightmare of mine...and here I sit.

Jamie...thanks! Easy is not in my vocabulary...lol..is that a surprise? I will do that today however, and regroup.

I did get an absolute NO on going back to any of my jobs for a minimum of 8 months...that hurt!! Ya think they are beginning to know me?

Congrats Misty!!! That's wonderful news!! You're back on your feet, my Dad's back on his feet.......life is good!

Now I just have to get my friend here at work through her Chemo treatment and with lots of prayers and blessings, she'll be triumphant too!!

Thank you sooo kindly Robyn! I so miss your smiling face and wit here. Yahoo on your Dad!! I have never stopped praying for his recovery my friend. Maybe now you can give up one of those jobs, and catch a little time for YOU, and a little bit of a life! You so deserve it my friend. Prayers for your associate in flight as we speak.
