Network and Internet sharing!!!!

Hi i have a modem/router combo and i am trying to connect my latop to the networking and it wont work i have no clue what to do i connect my internet cord in but i still cant get on the internet or anything?? if anybody can help that would be great if you need any more information just ask!

Hi,

A bit more info would be helpful, could you give:-
Modem /router make model, broadband?
Is the laptop the only comp on your system.

Well im back umm it is a Westell model number 327w Its diesel or somthing like that and i only have my ps2 hooked up to it! That connection is great on my ps2. well i would appreciate it if you got back to me soon thanks so far!

Hi again,

Because there are two machines trying to use the connection, Window's? treats this as a network, use the network connection wizard on both machines and that should solve it.

Just set TCP/IP to "Obtain Automatically" on the laptop...check it's IP address...should start with a 192.168.xxx.xxx

Does the PS/2 also get a 192 address?
