I've seen a few vids on Youtube of this Beryl 1.3 or 1.4 whatever and its really awsome to watch the 3D of the desktop items. I'm curious if this is stand alone able to run with vista or is it just something else? I can't exactly figure it out.

Beryl is a window manager for the linux desktop environment. It's a fork of compiz, created and currently maintained by novell.

It's nice, but some of the features are novelty at best. But definately a fun novelty. L

I had a classmate in high school by this name. Sadly, I never did get the chance to use her.
