Dual Boot or Upgrade to win2k?

Post by ConfusedAsHell »

I would just like your opinions or facts. I just got win2k professional. Right now my system is win98 upgrades to win me. Would you install a dual boot or would you simply upgrade to 2000? I personally would prefer to upgrade so I don't lose the progs I have already and I really don't even want the option to dual-boot. But, my question is, are there any disadvantages to just upgrading?? Are there bugs?? Your input is appreciated!

I was dualbooting WinME and Win2K, but I got rid of WinME as soon as I realized just how awesome Win2K was and just how much crap WinME/Win98 is. If you're a hardcore gamer, then dualboot for now, but if you're not, just Upgrade to Win2K and forego the DB.

You will either have to uninstall Win me first or format C: . There is no upgrade from WinMe to Win2K. I agree with Prey though no comparison between the 2 Win2K kicks ass comparitivley.
