Off to Get my Flu Shot

Post by minir »

Hi to all

The delay this year in getting the Flu Vaccines in is over and they are at the Doctors now.

Have you gotten yours yet???

You might want to give your Sawbones a call for an appointment. :)

:nope: :nope: The only time that I got a flu shot was when I was in the Navy 26 years ago. I got sick and I will never, ever get it again.

Hi Debbie

Me i play the odds and wouldn't go without one. You may still get a touch of the Flu but it keeps it from getting into the lungs and causing real issues imho.

They can't cover all Flu's but they do cover the most likely and that's good enough for me.

I'm done getting flu shots from the government... noooo more. Allow me to don one of Burkies Aluminiun foil hats. I'll say that I believe that not all flu shots are for the flu (Incert x-file theme music here). I will not be a government lab rat any more. 20 years in the military was enough of that.

i'm feeling the need for comic relief tonight. since i've already gone thru the latest pics of Lefty's genitals i'm gonna watch the NY Knicks (aka NY Chicks) game for a few. if that doesn't make me laugh then there's always my hapless Raiders on MNF.

i tell ya, it's been a very disappointing few years for me as a sports fan.

Good for you Larry! Unfortunately I happen to now fall into the catagory of the ones who cannot safely take a flu shot...the last one put me in the emergency room for a few hours....an extremely rare reaction however folks...don't let that scare ya! Until a few years ago, I could and did safely take them faithfully.

However now it appears, my entire system is changing...I am allergic to things I never was before..including some medicines...go figure! You would think as years go by, your system would build a natural immunity to the little bugs running around out there...I always knew I was in reverse gear! :rotfl:

Hi Dan

Good for you. :thumb:

There was some kind of factory foul up here in Canada that delayed the supply to the Doctors Offices and it just now arrived.

It being Free here in Canada and everyone from Kids up encouraged to get inoculated there is quite a vast amount needed. Thankfully its here now before Flu Season started.

Yeah it can be. I made sure to get the entire family vaccinated. Morgan due to her age had to get 2 different shots spread out over a month, but she is all good to go now. :thumb:
