Windows 2000 professional

I need a new OS, so, will win 2k pro play diablo, I and II carmageddon 3 unreal quake 3 midtown maddness blah blah blah! does it have the same game support?

now if they make newer versions, will there be patches or will i have to buy another copy of 200 that is updated?

nah, they wont make you change oses completely again for a little bit, unless you want to go to whislter which is very much like a MSN version of win2k. too cutsey if you ask me. but win2k should play all of those games with no problems unless you have an older vid card in which case you will have to deal with reference drivers and may loose some opengl support(like i did for my diamond monster fusion banshee card!) but other than that you should be set. win2k is by far the best software that MS has come out with IMHO.
