A series of surgeries upcoming for me

Hiya Guys and Gals!

It appears I may be just a tad out of contact very shortly..but don't get used to my not being here

I am a scrapper...and a survivor...period! I am not quite sure when the first will this will actually be..but they will be beginning as soon as possible, and will probably go on for a bit, and I am soooo ready!! Bring it on!! I will be sad that I cannot continue my patient advocasy for awhile, however...that is one motivation, and a dandy...that will help get me through this.

Say a few prayers for me guys and gals please. I will let you know...when I do...what the schedule will be...and for those that wish to know..Forgetful will have contact with those that know what is happening at the time..iffen I can not myself post right away.

It may be yet a month before things get going...however...once they do...it will be a long series.

I can't think of anything more pleasurable...than being home bound...and being able to come to these boards more often, and possibly be of some assistance here for those in need.

You guys are just wonderful! And remember...they don't call me "Mighty Mouse" for nuttin"!

Thanks guys!! You are the absolute greatest!! I so appreciate your thoughts, prayers and good wishes.

Not to fret however...I will still be here buggin' ya for awhile. Monday begins a barage of specialized testings, and pre-surgery procedures, which I imagine will go on for probably most of the rest of this month, by the time they get them all done..and there is a bunch of them!!, get all the results back, etc., then we go for the surgery dates, which will also be scattered.

My spirts are top notch!! This thing ain't got a chance!! If I can, and did beat second stage cancer...ya think? With all of you behind me, how could I possibly fail!!

Thanks guys and gals, ever so kindly. The first of the major testings begin tomorrow.

I am ready!! The one thing that does bother me however, is that at times when I most assuredly will be away for bits at a time, is that my folding will suffer, with no one here to be able to manually send my units off.

Soo....teammates...hold me up!! It won't be for awhile yet I don't think...but that will be on my mind.

Update 1

Hiya Guys and Gals!

Some of the lighter reports are in from last week, and some action already going on them. Some blood clots have been found in my legs, and medication prescribed to dissolve them. Deeper scannings will be done this morning, and then we go from there I suppose. It has already been discovered that I have some major scar tissue, and blockages in the carotid artery, partially due to prior procedures and surgeries necessary years ago. They have just grown now. One step at a time! Looks like roto rooter service might be a tad busy!

Legs first...it appears at this point. Here we go!

And I have been ordered off ALL of my jobs! That breaks my heart!! However, I am complying.

All right! Welcome to the rat poison (Coumadin) club. I have a lot of friends that are doing well with DVT, and several that have had ream jobs in their Carotid artery with great success.

You can look forward to a series of successes!

Too bad about all the running for appointments and also the fact they discovered a problem.

I went through all that this past coupe of months running from specialist to specialit for tests. It wears you down as your normal schedule is interrupted and your constanly on the go.

Hopefully they've reverse your problem and all will be well Misty. Take it easy and with today's technology they'll have you sorted out post haste.

Your in our thoughts and Prayers Misty so your return to good health is assured.

Thanks Larry for taking the time in your recovery to encourage me! I am honored! True story you speak of here..run, wait, run, test, wait, run..and they have taken all my jobs away!! Argggg!! More of the same coming up I expect, however the technician that did my legs ended up in tears, that was touching, saying it was the worst scanning she had ever seen. The carotid appears to be about 95 percent blocked as well on the right side..with trouble in the left as well. Both legs seem to be the plan now, and awaiting the dissolving of those blood clots...THEN the cardiovascular surgeon I expect. More hurry up and wait! Trying not to clutter this thread too badly, and yet keep posting...so ya know I have'nt croaked yet!

Thanks Deb! Still in the run mode I guess...cheesh...back in tomorrow for further testings and set up dates. Sure glad they called this case "stat"!! I am READY!!! now I need to get THEM ready it appears! The waiting and still not knowing is the most difficult..but that office will definitely know I have been there monday!

Update 2

Cheesh!! what a day!! However, looks like things are beginning to happen now that I was NOT even ready for. The next two weeks will be full of testing, that I had never even heard of!! Tomorrow, will be 12 different blood panels...not even sure I have enough blood for that!

It appears that my right leg is just under the gangerine (sp?) and the left is in serious trouble. All within the next two weeks the testing apparantly will get ready serious...and I thought they were DONE with that!! Wrong!!

It also appears now that I will require an angiogram and an angioplasty...that one caught me off guard...!! Within the next two weeks...an mri has been scheduled..a brain scan..(which I told them) don't waste your time...that's an empty cavity!! giggle!! The rest of the testing will be done within the next two weeks, then we fly to surgery..I am STILL SOOOOO ready!!
