WASHINGTON (AP) — The CIA officer whose identity was leaked to reporters sued Vice President Dick Cheney, his former top aide and presidential adviser Karl Rove on Thursday, accusing them and other White House officials of conspiring to destroy her career.

In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Valerie Plame and her husband, Joseph Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador, accused Cheney, Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby of revealing Plame's CIA identity in seeking revenge against Wilson for criticizing the Bush administration's motives in Iraq.

I wasn't aware that she had retired. This opens up a whole new ballgame.

Roody, I guess it all boils down to interpretation of law. The good news is that we might get to hear what the Grand jury is finding out aobut the whole affair.

I'm curious... What would the Vanity Fair article have to do with anything? So they were paid to do it. Your aware that to this date, there isn't any news media or print media willing to take her story? Yet anyway.

I suppose they're all afraid of the usual smear campaign that would follow if any of them printed a story that wasn't favorable to this admin.

It seems they've set up a trust fund for their defense.

Any monies collected from the suits will go to covering their suit and any extra will go to charity.
