2007 Volkswagen GTI

Post by minir »

Hi to all

Perhaps the perfect car?

A 4dr. for the Family Man & a 2dr. for me. :) Good mileage & plenty of load space, with enough Zip to be entertaining & excellent handling.

The new GTI's "torque-rich" 2.0-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder engine gives the GTI a "double personality," says Bob McHugh. "It can comfortably putter around town in a high gear without any fuss, but stab the accelerator and Mr. Hyde springs to life." However, some drivers may find the optional DSG transmission's quick shifts "a little too abrupt for everyday use."

Starting to look nice again. And appears to have gone back to its roots...decent performance for a decent price. :thumb:

Hi YeOldeStonecat

Slumping Sales will do that for ya Eh YeOldeStonecat :D

Your right on the money. I'd still like to see the 4Motion version released here and there is talk of a 300hp version of it on the boards as well. Yummy! :thumb:

So many Cars...so little money. :rotfl:

Hey Minir,

I have the 06 GTI candy white like the picture just different rims. I gotta say it has been one of the better cars i have owned. Has plenty of get up and go.

Only bad thing with the car is it can drink gas like a V8 if you like getting on the peddle. ohh and there will be a 4motion just isnt the GTI is is called the R32 and is due to be released end of 07.

Hi J-high

Thanks for your input. Pleased your having good fortune with yours. The R32 nomenclature is used in Europe but i don't know if they will follow the trend here as they are doing enough name changing now?

It will be a beauty though.

Have a terrific night :)
