Post by ntvh »

Hi,
I'm planning to buy a new LCD for my system, Would somebody please advice me which are the best? My budget is about $500 and I 'm looking to " Acer Ferrari F-20 / 20" / 8ms / 800:1 / WSCGA+ 1680x1050 / Black/Red / Wide LCD Monitor with Speakers" or may be Sony. Don't know, Please help. Thanks

I recommend this

Dell 2005FPW 20in LCD flat panel 1680x1050, 12ms, 600:1, DVI $423.20 - $60 off $500 if you use this coupon code when you order. WVL6T6W?5JTKWJ
It ships free too I think but ya gotta jump right on it. and that will take your total price down to 363.20$
Nice monitor.

Brandwise...with years of dealing with all brands, Viewsonic has been the brand I've gotten to prefer. If you game a lot...they have some models which are the fastest out there...3ms. Good quality....believe me I've had a looooot of monitors go though my hands..get to see which ones have issues, need replacement, etc. I think I've yet to see a dead pixel on a Viewsonic.

To answer your question "Best" though...best for what? What defines "best" for you?

Viewsonic, Samsung, Benq. Dell is evil, love my 2405, but will never deal with their non english and clueless support.
