3 Inches of Snow & -5C Yuk!

Post by minir »

Hi to all

Welcome to Canada. Just awoke and couldn't believe my poor old eyes. The freshly fallen snow just grabbed me.

I do hope this is the end of it. I have to go to the Grocery Store today and will have to pull on the Sorels to do so.

Damn!

Just a damp light rain down here on the shore...but go a couple of miles inland...and it's snowing. I'm messaging with a co-worker now who lives up by you YoS....yeah, a little dusting of snow going on.

Ah well, April...we're still bound to get a little layer of snow now 'n then. But at least you know it'll be short lived.

Went clothes shopping yesterday to begin building up my summer dress clothes wardrobe.

Hi YOSC & Lefty

YOSC
Went clothes shopping yesterday to begin building up my summer dress clothes wardrobe.
A man with a Wardrobe. :)

Mine consists of shorts from 3 years ago and Tee's of like vintage or older and sandals i've had forever. Do you think that's why i live alone. :rotfl:

As to the snow, we were spoiled by the rain and climbing temps, but then!!! Canada Eh!

It's a curse...from having to work! :irate:

You enjoy the shorts 'n tees...a benefit of retirement. Everyday is a weekend for ya! :D

Got my microfiber shirts yesterday, some dress socks. Next week...slacks. Another week or two after that...loafers. I'll be set by May or so.

//turns...nose picks up scent of something burning...runs into the kitchen..

Darnet...started to burn my scrapple for breakfast! :irate:

Hi YeOldeStonecat & JCOS

YeOldeStonecat
Retirement has its benefits. I haven't had anything resembling a Wardrobe since 1982. :thumb:

I look like a Bum and live like one as well. I also enjoy every minute of it. :rotfl:

God how i hated wearing Suits everyday.

Larry,

I wore a winter coat here up to when it was 80F. I found that so damn odd but considering it gets to the 140-155F range out here you can see why 80 was a bit cool.

Not only dark skinned ladies but Asian dark skinned ladies to be specified. Now I need to take a cold shower. :D

There has been so much rain in this part of my state, that a major layoff at a rather large plant will be in effect today because of such, placing near 500 workers on unemployment, with not much hope here of straightening out yet. Lots of rain still in the long run forecast. :( Pretty sad.

Joint Chiefs of Staff
I do understand. I recall sitting on a bench in Florida people watching and at least 3 people going by said Hi and asked if i was Canadian as i was in a Tee & Shorts while they wore sweaters. 70 to me was hot, they on the other hand were cool. :D

Asian dark skinned beauties. Shower tome here too. :rotfl:

Yup..a good snowstorm that dumped a few feet on the ground. Meant sledding, building tunnels 'n caves and snowforts, snowball fights, etc.

Now..it means clear the front steps, walkway, the cars, driveway, access to the mailbox. And the mess it brings into the house. And for the next few days...dealing with the extra sand that the cars dump in the driveway from the roads..which tracks into the house..... :irate:

God how i love the generosity of you Northern Folks. :D

Believe it or not my Mom is getting more in Peterborough now, though they didn't get as much as i did overnight.

I just looked out the window and my truck is basically clear now as is the majority of the ground cover.

Damn i wish i was rich and i'd be looking at blue water & not in my Toilet Bowl either. ;)
