Command line syntax for set program access and defaults for win 2000

Post by Melchizedek41 »

Is there a command line syntax for set program access and defaults for win 2000 which is usually in add and remove programs. My add and remove programs won't work anymore so I was wondering if there was a command line work around for it. Thanks

Elaborate upon this "my add -remove programs will not work anymore". Seems the thing to do is fix that problem first.

I have windows 2000 and a short time a go I noticed that add and remove started coming up with an eror which is: An unexpected error occured "Object doesn't support this property or method res://sp3res.dll/default.hta line82" I believe it was after a windows update fix that this started to occur not sure though. I went on the net to search this and I had found some one else had had this happen and said it was caused by a windows update and to uninstall sp3 and re install it again. Do you or anyone else have any experience with this problem?

I've seen add/remove program errors before in Win2K..not that specific error though. Have you tried SP4? It replaced SP3....SP3 isn't really secure anymore.

I do have SP4 installed, I did google this and found someone else had the same problem and they said it happened after installing one of the new updates.

Thanks
