Hes so friggin desperate its pitiful and embarrassing. Iraqi's are dying by the dozens every day now. There is more violence now then there ever has been when Saddam Hussein was in power. They should just let him go and let him do his thing. His country will be back in order within 2 weeks.

Nobody ever doubted a tyrant's ability to keep order in their own borders. It's pretty easy to do so when dissent carries a death penalty.

I think thats going to happen here if things continue the way they are going. So far he's been charged with killing 128 people that were involved with an attempted assasination. We've killed 1000's upon 1000's since the war. There were more Civilian deaths then there were military.
Israel deals with assassins and terrorists much in the same way...so why is one situation different from another? I just don't understand it. If it is necessary to keep order in one place then it should be the same for the other. Here in the US we rounded up everyone that we could find and herded them into GITMO or Abu Gharib and did the same exact thing in order to secure our country. Torture, prolonged jail time without charges and even death occurred with our government as well as Israel's. What makes a madman/vicous dictator for one and not the other?

Ya know what...it used to fly before but I think people are finally opening their eyes and seeing little by little. A lot of it has to do with the internet allowing the PEOPLE to communicate rather then the government and media to show only what they wanted to show. Bout time.

No you don't, the US behaves just as unilaterally if not more. The international community's opinion has approximately 0% influence over what the US does.

Actually I was speaking to the fact that neitehr countries are dictatorships and being COMPLETELY sarcastic at that - just trying to point out what the Bushies think the difference is.

Well they are one of the instigators in all this. Is it not true that their security is threatened if in fact they are thinking about nuclear weapons?
Was it not Israel that said they would go in and Bomb the nuclear plant? You know that USA is acting on their behalf because if Israel does attempt to make a move itself there will be a lot of problems for them. If Israel wants to have toys well then the rest of the kids will want to have them too. If Israel wants to be an adult about it then they could either A. Open up their nuclear program to oversight

B. get rid of any type of Nuclear weaponry in their arsenal and rely only on their already advanced conventional weaponry just like their neighbors.

Israel would be in a much better position to complain and/or it would show that they are not a threat to anyone in the vicinity.

You are such a patriot and christian that you could care less how many people will die if this threat becomes a reality. The only thing you will cry about is that you won't be able to feed your SUV once gasoline and everything else that will rise in cost due to the economic impact of all of this comes into your little world. I do not take it as a person attack, you should know better. It would seem as though you have a fixation on Israel being the source of all the problems in the Middle East. Well, when did Saddam become a problem for the US and his neighboring countries, save Iran?

Its not a fixation at all. I've already stated that I felt that no one in the Middle East at all should be in possession of ANY nuclear weapons whatsoever. That would include Israel. It would seem that Israel has a fixation on anyone attempting to play "Keep Up With The Joneses" and routinely squashes anyone that even thinks about Nuclear weaponry or energy. Its not a fixation but Israel seems to be in the forefront of a lot of world news on almost a daily basis and a lot of it involves the US.

WMD's include nuclear weapons, however they are not the issue. IN the case of Saddam Hussein, chemical and biological weapons had been in his stores and used on Iraqi citizens as well as in the Iran-Iraq war. It has been mentioned that the location and or disposal of these agents remain unaccounted.

With all due respect, there was no reason to add Israel into this particular equation.

Well David I mentioned Israel because as a reasoning for invading Iraq , Israel does the same exact thing to the Palestinians when they assasinate, attempt to assasinate or terrorize. So whats the difference?

Honestly if you can give me a valid reasoning for why the Iraqi leader is a madman for rounding up enemies of the state, who would most definitly be classified as terrorists, imprisons them for indefinite amounts of time, tortures them, possibly some resulting in death, attacks and destroys their houses and seizes their property and Israel who most definitly does the same exact thing is not only considered by some as humane, but as being Democratic and peaceful? How can the same exact situation result in 2 totally different adjectives? Maybe pro-Israeli media and Pro-Israeli politicians here may attempt to paint a different picture but underneath all the Decals and fancy pinstripes its the same Earl Scheib 199.00 paint job. Substitute Sharon for Hussein, Palestinian for Shia and IDF for Republican Guard and you have the same crap in a different handbasket. The same will hold true for the situation in Iran now as well.

David of course you are entitled to your opinion and I know you are a lot smarter then I am but I think that saying Israel has nothing to do with this entire ME issue is just wrong.
One of the main reasons why we were attacked in the first place was because of our show of favoritism and accusations of collussion between the USA and Israel. Perhaps in the past when it wasn't our own men and women dying it was overlooked but I think more and more people are saying the same thing and seeing the same thing. I don't think overlooking this is an option any longer and it should be dealt with. For the sake of Americans, Brits,Israelis and Arabs
