Using Roadrunner and Win95: ANY file download from any website usually just STOPS at around 125k to 500k. I abort d/l and restart d/l, d/l resumes and goes another 125k to 500k and stops. Have updated to Winsock2 . Cable provider has checked for errors and reset modem, no change. Any suggestions? All other browsing and even multiplayer online gamings works fine.

Tried rebuilding IE? Is it IE where you are downloading? Try getting IE 5.01. Don't get 5.5 it really sucks! Trust me, I use it.

I have the exact same problem, my downloads all seem to start fine, then simply stop.
This happens with all downloads (napster, ICQ transfers, IE downloads etc etc) .... my browsing etc all still work and I still have all three lights on on my modem.

Using @home , Win98SE , Two nics (for connection sharing)

This is really annoying me....solutions would be appriciated...

Go into Internet Options -> Connection -> LAN Settings, and enure Proxy Server, auto detect settings, and auto config script are all UNCHECKED.

Set your NIC to 10/half-duplex.

The other fellow with two NICS and using ICS may be another issue ....

Thx Honest Abe, but no joy, all the settings were already configured as you suggested. I am using IE 5.5 also andrewe77, and hate it too, but I play on the Zone @ MS and they dont seem to want you to use any other brand of browser, go figure. If I uninstall 5.5...hmm...can it really be uninstalled, completely? Anyway D/L's don't work with Navigator either. I have ripped out all network settings and reinstalled. As a further clue for you guys, I have tried FTP, HTTP, and even FTP leech software, such as LeechFTP. ANY suggestions please... And G-CODE thx, but I luv 95B over 98 and beyond.
