How can they even ENTERTAIN this?
Wow. What's next Burke?
Criticism also came from U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D., Ill.). In a letter last Tuesday to IRS Commissioner Mark Everson, Obama warned that once in the hands of third parties, tax information could be resold and handled under even looser rules than the IRS sets, increasing consumers' vulnerability to identity theft and other risks.

I see this as a purposeful creation of a huge criminal threat that can only be "fixed" using biometrics and the like for a new revamped tax system. It may not even make sense, but if it promises "safety" of your information.
Your up next to have your identity chip surgically implanted,
Only to protect your identity of course,

I thought premium members didn't see that stuff
Offensive
Thats awful, but look at all the other things that have been happening in the US over the past five years...the government can spy on any phone call in violation of the constitution, for example, or wisk canadian citizens they merely suspect of terrorism away to camps in foreign countries where they hold them without charges and even torture them...
Only diff between those things and this is that the first ones were done in the name of fighting terrorism, and this was buried in the paperwork and labelled "not an important policy change"
People roll their eyes when liberals blame bush for this type of stuff...but whether its his fault, someone else's, or no-one in particular's, this kind of thing seems to be the trend in america these days, and a signal of where the country is headed.

Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

they've moved beyond that...now they'll just twist it into reasons why there should be another tax cut for the top 99.9th percentile, or to move the debt cap from 1 trillion to 2 trillion...

Trying every beer on the planet is not one of them. Thats called a hobby.
I grew up knowing the only 2 things in life you ever have(not half), to do is...
1. Pay taxes.
2. Die.
