Clearing the cmos

Post by Melchizedek41 »

I have never had to clear the cmos before and a friend has a p3 and he's trying to put a 128 meg ati 64 bit video card in. It won't work it just beeps. He was told where he baught it to clear the cmos because the cmos might be corrupt. If he clears the cmos what will happen to the bios settings and the computer when he restarts. Will he loose all his bios settings or will they reload when he restarts. Thanks .......Melchizedek42
